History of the Farm
Finca Loma Alta has its beginning in the 80s, with an initial hectare, currently has 5 hectares in production, during these years to pass by different processes in which the most significant has been to decrease the initial cultivation, such as the caturra, Bourbon, to pass to new varieties such as catimores, due to the problems caused by diseases such as roya. In this process, the varieties (pacamara) are improving and initial varieties such as bear and red catuai areined with effort. Finca Loma Alta has a temperate climate, which has been a little affected lately by climate change.
Family History
Loma High property of Mr. Rafael Chacón, farmer, begins with the inheritance of the land of 0.70 hectares by his father, in which he has been working since 1980, and with its production has been helped to raise in a dignified way to his children (6) which have also been part of the work carried out in the same as helping to increase the plots in sowing, clean, put and harvest. Finca Loma Alta in 2004 was divided into three plots, of which Sra. Maria Yolanda Ramos (wife) is owner of 1.5 hectares the land of said lot was inherited by Mr. Florentino Chacón (her father-in-law), in that same year don Rafael Chacón gave to his daughter Karen Chacón, 0.70 hectares of estate (1 manzana) in the present time it is counted in Loma Alta estate with 5 hectares producing.
